Anyway, your country's just too damn big. He's had to cut the map off above Rovaniemi. Are there any clubs in kakkonen or above north of there?

Hello all.  Tampere Owl was kind enough to point me to this forum.  I am the one responsible for the Portugal, Switzerland, France and Austria maps on footiemap.com.  The Finnish football map that I am putting together should be online within the next week or so.  I'll be sure to post a link once it is live.

A few questions about two Kakkonen clubs that I could use your assistance with:

1) I have been unable to locate stadium information for JBK, one of the two Pietarsaari/Jakobstad clubs.  Do they share a ground with FF Jaro by any chance?  If not, does anyone know the street address for their ground?

2) Same question about Norrvalla FF - where do they play their home matches?

Once the map has gone live I would be happy to incorporate any changes you might suggest.  Unlike Portugal and Switzerland, Google Earth has not been of great assistance in Finland, so I've had to rely on city maps and other information that I've been able to access.

Yearly Finnish footballbook (2006) tells JBK´s homeground:
Länsikenttä or/and Keskuskenttä.

Keskuskenttä is the one Jaro is playing, no idea about Länsikenttä. If you ask by private message eg. “Maakuntasatraappi” (see Jaro topics), he´ll sure know about Länsikenttä.

The same book tells Norrvall FF ladies are playing at “Vöyrin Keskusurheilukenttä” something like “Vöyri Central Sport Stadium” in English. Address: Staffasbackvägen 10.

Must be the same for men´s team, I think but not sure. At the moment men´s team´s training matches in Vöyri are on artificial grass.

In Finland spring games are often played on another than the main stadium.

BTW, I'm a Chelsea supporter (yeah, I know), but suppose I should adopt a Finnish club as my own now that I've taken on this mapping job.  It'll have to be JJK then, as my wife's family on her father's side is from the Jyväskylä area.  How do their chances look this season?

I think Vöyri is more commonly known of its Swedish name, Vörå.
E: Vöyri is ofcourse 100% correct too!

All I can say is that you have made awesome job. It looks good, but there is one thing I would repair.

OPS isn't going to play any official matches in Heinäpää, so if you put them there, you propably need to but AC Oulu and OLS there too. AC has already played League Cup there and OLS and OPS have only played some training matches there.

Thanks.  My aim is to associate the club with their "home ground" where they play the majority of their competitive matches - so for each of the Oulu clubs which should it be?

Eeek, I just realized that I had failed to move AC Oulu to the proper location.  Fixed now, I think.

PS - Ah yes I see that both OLS and OPS are playing their senior league matches at Castren.  That's where I'll put them.

Thanks for the great job. Bit of hairsplitting: FC Lahti's homeground Lahden Stadion is not located exactly there. The correct place is a bit to the left. In this map it says Urheilukeskus at the right spot.
