The chief doctor of Dynamo Kyiv Andriy Shmorhun spoke about the nature of Artem Besedin's injury, as the Kyiv club's website reports.
"Artem Besedin underwent a magnetic resonance examination. On the MRT images, he has partial damage to the posterior cruciate ligament, partial damage to the internal and external lateral ligaments, as well as a fracture of the femoral condyles without displacement.
"Besedin's hyperextension caused hyperextension (flexion) in his knee joint, which caused such a major injury. We are currently consulting with traumatologists and surgeons about treatment tactics. Previously, it was a conservative treatment. The recovery period is about six months," Shmorhun said.
