Nypan and his family are apparently very comfortable with the idea of Sverre staying at the club for several more seasons, no fear of signing a long contract at least. But also Nypan just got the "super-agent" Pimenta, which might be very interesting. Holse will absolutely leave now I think, he's been "too good" for too long. If both leave it opens up room for Santeri, but if only Holse leaves, I think Nypan and Børkeeiet will keep Santeri on the bench, while Rosenborg brings in a new player to replace Holse.

Yes, I’d be surprised if Nypan was sold now, but based on what they’re saying in the media, they haven’t ruled it out. Probably best both for him and for RBK if he’s here for another year, or at least until the end of the season.

It felt like Holse was saying his farewells last night. And yes, the club is saying that they will bring in a new midfielder when Holse leaves. But it will be a new competitive situation for the midfield spots in any case, and a chance for Santeri to show what he’s got.

Good to see Santeri back in the starting line-up, too bad it's just because Børkeeiet is injured. If Maalen had been a manager that could be more fluid with the tactics, I think they could play at the same time, with Nypan as an attacking midfielder. Interesting for Rosenborg if Tagseth is the designated Holse-replacement.

Now it's been confirmed and suddenly, the rest of the season became much more interesting as a Rosenborg fan.

Hard to say what this will mean for Väänänen. With Holse gone, I'm actually quite optimistic that he's a strong contender for one of the more attacking midfield positions. Nypan and Santeri could complement each other well there. Time will tell.

Väänänen penkillä, kun Bodø/Glimt tulee vieraaksi Ole Selnæsin paluuotteluun, ainakin melkein loppuunmyydylle Lerkendalille. Ennakoissa on annettu ymmärtää, että Selnæs ei ole ihan 90 minuutin matsikunnossa vielä, joten ehkä Santeri siis tulee jossain kohtaa toista puoliaikaa tilalle. Vähän elättelen toiveita, että Väänästä olisi laitettu avaukseen keskikentän hyökkäävämpiin rooleihin, mutta Skjelbreid ja Nypan olivat jonossa edellä ainakin tänään.

It's not a big surprise that Svein Maalen prefers people who speak his dialect over Santeri, but I think they save him for when Selnæs has to be subbed out too. It will probably be enough for Väänänen to do against the Bodø-midfield and attack.

On elementissään kun pääsee vähän ylempänä kenttää iskemään kiinni vastustajan pelaajiin, jotka saavat syötön pieneen tilaan. Muutenkin RBK:n pohjapelaajalta vaaditaan aika laajan alueen puolustamista. Ylempänä pelaaneet Tagseth, Nypan ja Holse ovat kaikki aika vahvasti hyökkäyssuuntaan orientuneita keskikenttäpelaajia. Vastahyökkäysten tullessa oma pakka ollut ajoittain todella hajalla.

Rosenborg has a very strict role for the 6 in the team, especially the way Svein Maalen wants to play. He should be the balancing playmaker on the middle, and let the two midfielders next to him run up. During Kåre Ingebrigtsen's last year and a half that was taken to a parodic amount when the two attacking midfielders in the 4-3-3 were standing next to the striker waiting for the ball, making it look like a flat 4-1-5.

But Väänänen did get to play as one of the more attacking ones against Bodø today, and Ole Selnæs played the full 90, and Santeri could have gotten the match deciding assist if Rasmus Widesheim-Paul was a decent striker - Sadiku would have scored there.
