🔵🔴 Marc Vivés, sporting director of Barça Femení, explained ONE BY ONE the departures of players from the culé squad:
➖Keira Walsh: "She requested to leave. I think she never fully adapted here. She is an excellent professional, but there comes a time when you have to find a balance between the sporting and the economic, and we decided to let her go.
➖Ingrid Engen: "Also an excellent professional and person. There comes a time in life when everyone has to make their own decisions. She needs, and it’s normal, legitimate, to have a more prominent role in the team. We couldn’t reach an agreement."
➖Fridolina Rolfö: "Maximum respect. Everything she has given to this club has been extraordinary, but there comes a time when we considered that her performance was not optimal, and we proposed her departure."
➖Jana Fernàndez: "She was considering leaving, the club applied the +1, but she is finally transferred for €300,000 to London City Lionesses. She is a very good player. Here we have Ona, who is at an excellent level, and Jana has had that desire for some time to have more prominence."
➖Ellie Roebuck: "It was about finding that balance between the sporting and the economic. Our job is to seek the best balance. Ellie, due to performance issues and not having that continuity, considering the wage bill and that Gemma continues to evolve within the club, we decided to let her go."
➖Bruna Vilamala: "She is a player we followed at Brighton, as we do with all those on loan, and although everyone at Barça is at a high level, this is high performance, and we understand that at Brighton she didn’t have the necessary continuity for us to consider incorporating her into the squad."
➖Lucía Corrales: "This has been one of the most complicated cases for me, or the most complicated, because it was unexpected. I think it was an issue that could have been resolved.
