Urazbakhtin named the reason for the sensational defeat from KuPS
According to him, Kairat players should have realized their chances in the first half
Kairat head coach Rafael Urazbakhtin commented on the defeat from Finnish KuPS in the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
He noted that at first the match was going well for Kairat.
“In the first half we had chances that we should have realized. Unfortunately, we didn’t score. In the second half, the opponent scored. We went on the attack, tried to recoup, and in one of the attacks we got the second goal. We tried to correct the situation, but the opponent defended well and didn’t allow us to score. That’s football. But I think that we should have realized our chances in the first half. Now we’ll try in the return match,” Urazbakhtin said.
He also said that they had analyzed the opponent well, prepared, noting that the opponent was very serious, the team had its own style, and the coach's hand was visible.
"We understood that the goalkeeper plays very high, in principle. And we understood that we needed to press, because if we did not press, they would gain an advantage due to the goalkeeper. We tried to press - in the first half, we did well at times. It is clear that it is difficult to press the entire match. We tried to refresh the attack line. In the return match, we will try to neutralize the advantage that the opponent gained in the home game. We hope that our fans and our home walls will help us," Urazbakhtin said.

"The guys are tired." Charter and saved time did not help "Kairat" in Finland
Having arrived by charter plane and saved time and energy, the Almaty team still lost
Football Today at 21:38
Almaty "Kairat" lost away to the Finnish team "KuPS" with a score of 0:2 in the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League. In order to prepare for this game with fresh forces, the Almaty team went to Finland by charter plane to Finnish Kuopio and avoided travel, which could take a lot of time and tire the players.
However, a quick and comfortable charter flight did not help Kairat at least not to lose. Moreover, after the match, Kairat head coach Rafael Urazbakhtin, commenting on his team's performance, noted that the guys were tired.
"The guys were tired. We tried to refresh the attack line so that they could continue to put pressure. In the return match, we will try to neutralize the advantage that our opponents got in the home game. We hope that our fans and our home walls will help us," Urazbakhtin said.
