U4GM Teamwork Strategies for Monopoly GO Racers

Ghostbusters Racers gives Monopoly GO teams more to think about than a quick dash to first place. The event runs from October 28 at 1:00 PM ET to November 1 at 3:55 PM EST, and there's no separate partner event scheduled that week. If you're used to planning around the Monopoly Go Partners Event, this race calls for a different approach: your team needs to manage both its finishing positions and the time it spends out in front.

Why the lead clock matters

The Hold the Lead board counts complete minutes while your team is in first place. A 43-second lead earns nothing; a lead lasting 4 minutes and 43 seconds earns four minutes. Separate stretches don't add their leftover seconds together, either. Two 50-second leads still score zero. Once you've earned a full minute, though, it's yours to keep. That's why a short burst followed by silence can be frustrating: you might grab first place and lose it before the clock records anything.

Make each race count

Four players form a team, and three other teams compete against them across three races. Each player starts with 100 Flags, a roll costs 20, and a completed lap is worth 300 points. Placement points increase in the last race. For first through fourth, the first two races award 10, 8, 5 and 3 points; the last awards 20, 16, 10 and 6. An early lead helps, but it isn't a reason to spend every Flag. Teams further down the table still have a chance to catch up.

Keep the car moving

Before anyone makes a big push, agree on a rolling order in team chat. One player can take the lead while another watches the gap and rolls when rivals get close. Spreading sessions across the day may give your team more time at the front without everyone playing at once. There are 40 lap reward choices per race, so check them as you go. Unopened rewards carry into the next race, but claim them before the event ends.

Pick up Flags on the board and complete Quick Wins.
Collect the free Shop gift every eight hours.
Look for Flags in event and tournament milestones.
Save some Flags for the last race.

Choose your prize target

Team prizes make placement worth watching. Fourth place offers two 1-star packs and three 2-star packs; third gives three 3-star packs and four 4-star packs. Second gets four 4-star packs and six 5-star packs, while first receives a Swap Pack of at least three stars and a Wild Sticker. That Wild Sticker can fill a missing gold slot, which makes it appealing if your album is nearly complete. Solo rewards are smaller, so weigh the effort against what you need. If you're considering whether to buy cheap Monopoly Go Partners Event, remember that a purchase isn't necessary to enter this race. Check the in-game countdown before spending your remaining Flags, especially around the clock change.
