Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 opens with three 6v6 maps on November 6 at midnight Eastern, or 9:00 PM Pacific on November 5. Backstab and Canyon are new, while Shoot House returns with a fresh setting and updated movement. If you are planning your first session around MW4 Bot Lobbies, Backstab is the map worth learning first because its open streets and raised positions will punish anyone who runs in without checking the rooftops.

Backstab rewards patience and good sightlines

Backstab puts a snowy, damaged town around the action. Tanks sit in the streets, buildings have been torn open, and several rooftops look straight over the main routes. The Stronghold House roof is an obvious power position, but the Sniper House, Grandpa's House and Destroyed Building also give useful angles. You will quickly notice that the safest rotations are not always the shortest ones. Blasted walls create side routes, so use them to move between cover instead of crossing the road in the open. An assault rifle or marksman rifle should feel comfortable here, with a close-range secondary ready for building fights.

Map   Best area to watch   Useful approach
Backstab   Stronghold House roof   Hold range, then rotate through broken walls
Canyon   Central Mesa   Watch both ends and protect the climb
Shoot House   Hospital and Apartment   Cover connectors between the three lanes

Canyon changes the pace

Canyon feels more exposed, but it still gives careful players places to disappear. The River runs near the Convoy Ambush site, while the Cliff Path bends through rough ground along the edge. The Mesa sits in the middle and offers a view toward both sides, making it valuable in objective matches. Up north, the Cave leads to an Abandoned Shack. That route is slower and tighter, which makes it handy for players using a shotgun or submachine gun. Do not sprint straight for the Mesa every time. A team that controls the approach can make the climb a miserable one.

Shoot House still depends on timing

Shoot House keeps its familiar shape, but the new setting places it in North Korea during a light snowfall. The Junkyard, Center tunnels and Containers form the main lanes. Hospital and Apartment overlook much of the fighting, yet the connecting paths matter just as much. A fast submachine gun works well through the tunnels and Center. For the long Containers lane, an assault rifle is the steadier choice. Try these habits early.

Check the connectors before committing to a lane.
Use short bursts across the Containers sightline.
Expect quick pressure through the Center tunnels.
Change position after winning a rooftop fight.

Modes, preparation and the next update

Grind adds a simple risk-and-reward loop: collect dog tags, then carry them to one of two Banks. Drop Zone rotates the main objective and drops random killstreak packages during the match. Shipment is available before the season, so it is a handy place to level weapons and unlock attachments. Ministry and Overflow are planned for the mid-season update, bringing an attacked embassy and a factory-farmland setting with distant rocket fire. For players wanting extra practice before the new maps settle in, MW4 Bot Lobbies for sale may fit a quieter preparation session.
